Educational Qualification for NLC Recruitment 2025
Technician Electrician:
- 10th pass with 2 Years ITI Course in Electrician Trade along with Trade certificate issued by SCVT/NCVT and minimum one year Apprentices Training Certificate issued by SCVT/NCVT under The Apprentices Act, 1961.
Technician Welder (Trainee):
- 10th pass with ITI in Welder Trade along with Trade certificate issued by SCVT/NCVT & min. one year Apprentices Training Certificate issued by SCVT/NCVT under The Apprentices Act, 1961.
Technician Fitter:
- 10th pass with 2 Years ITI Course in Fitter Trade along with Trade certificate issued by SCVT/NCVT and minimum one year Apprentice Training Certificate issued by SCVT/NCVT under The Apprentices Act, 1961.

Selection Process:
- All Eligible candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be compulsory to appear for a CBT.
- The selection process will be based on a candidates relative score in the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- A CBT will be conducted separately for each post.
Computer-Based Test (CBT) Details:
- The CBT will be of 100 numbers for 1 hour 30 minutes duration (in one sitting), comprising 2 sections (Section-A & Section-B);
- Section ‘A’ will consist of technical knowledge (discipline related) with 70 MCQ and
- Section ‘B’ will consist of GK, General Awareness, Reasoning, Verbal and Mental Ability, Quantitative Aptitude with 30 numbers MCQ.
- Every question will carry 1 number and there is no penalty for incorrect answer.
- No numbers will be awarded for unattempted questions.
- The exam paper shall be bilingual i.e. in Hindi and English language only.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks (cut-off marks) to qualify for the merit list. OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ ESM/ PwBD – 40 marks, UR , EWS – 50 marks.
